Imagine my excitement when I opened the mail yesterday to find the latest issue of Wine Spectator magazine and on it’s cover in bright yellow letters “New York Wine Country”. I couldn’t wait to open it and read the articles about what we celebrate every year at the Hudson Valley Wine Fest. We already know what fantastic wines are produced here in New York, but it’s great to see many of our favorite wineries getting international recognition from probably the most popular wine magazine.
I was pleased reading through the featured wineries to see so many familiar names who will be attending the Wine Fest this year. Even the home of our Fest, the Greig Farm, was given a special mention.
It’s great to know that for people interested in truly experiencing the fine vintages available from New York, they will be able to sample a lot of it at the Hudson Valley Wine & Food Fest this year.
