Iron Chef Winner Peter Xavier Kelly to Appear at Hudson Valley Wine & Food Fest
The Sixth Annual Hudson Valley Wine & Food Fest to be held at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds, September 7, 8, 9 is thrilled to announce the appearance of Chef Peter Xavier Kelly of Xaviars Restaurant Group as our featured Celebrity Chef Demonstrator on Saturday September 9th.
Chef Peter Kelly, fresh from his recent win over Bobby Flay on the Food Network Show, Iron Chef, will be sharing some of his cooking secrets with patrons of the Hudson Valley Wine & Food Fest on Saturday afternoon at 1pm. For more than 2 decades Peter X. Kelly has set the standard for dining in New York State. Operating the most critically acclaimed restaurants in the Hudson Valley, as well as a vineyard in California that produces wines for his restaurants, Peter is an experienced, talented and successful entrepreneur. His Contemporary American Cuisine brings dining to a new level by providing his guests with exquisite food and superb service. His most recent entrepreneurial achievement is X2O, an elegant new restaurant built on the only turn of the century Victorian pier still in use on the Hudson River. X2O’s Main Dining Salon’s 25 foot vaulted ceiling and 3 walls of glass frame offers views of the George Washington and Tappan Zee Bridges, as well as sunsets over the Palisades. Guests encounter dishes incorporating classic French technique with Italian and Spanish influences, and Asian embellishments, which create a wholly original cuisine unique to the Hudson Valley.
There will be many other local celebrity chefs sharing their culinary expertise with Wine & Food Fest visitors throughout the weekend. Some of our demonstrators include Ric Orlando of New World Home Cooking, Dan Budd of Taste Budd’s, Jessica Applestone of Fleisher’s Meats, Chris O’Brian of Mojo Grill, Josh Kroner of The Terrapin and Laura Pensiero of Gigi’s Trattoria.
