Quick Tips to Enjoy the Hudson Valley Wine & Food Fest
Since we certainly hope everyone who attends the Hudson Valley Wine & Food Fest has a fantastic time, I would like to provide you with some quick and easy tips to ensure you’ll have a fun, memorable weekend.
First and foremost, as a courtesy to our guests we offer a centralized Wine Pick-up service for those who want to buy bottles of wine but perhaps don’t want to drag them around all day.
To make your pick ups more convenient, you may want to bring your own Return Address labels that you can attach to our Wine Pick Up stickers. This will save you time rather than having to write your name and address for each purchase. Don’t forget to fill out your phone number so we can contact you if you forget your wine.
Don’t forget to check out the cooking demonstration schedule so you don’t miss learning how to create a culinary wonder or two in your own house.
If you’re coming from far away, don’t forget that we have some fantastic lodging deals set up for you!
There are, of course, a few rules to ensure that everyone has an amazing time.
As per the Dutchess County Fairgrounds there are no pets permitted on the festival site. Please be conscious of the weather as it will likely be too hot to safely leave pets in your vehicle. There will be no exceptions to the no pets rule.
Coolers are not permitted as there will be plenty of food and beverage available at the festival. Water and Soda for Designated Drivers is available at the Wine Fest Gear booth in Building C. Just ask a Fest staffer at the booth for your beverage.
No smoking is permitted inside any of the Festival Buildings.
Attendees with the “Designated Driver” wristband will NOT be permitted to taste wine. If you are witnessed tasting wine, you will be asked to leave the event.
The Dutchess County Sherriff’s Department will be in attendance at the festival to monitor your safety. Please participate responsibly.
However, the most important rule is this – have fun!
With over fifty wineries, tons of crafts and more specialty food vendors than ever before, it is sure to be a fantastic event and we want everyone to enjoy it!
See you September 11 – 12 for a great weekend!

New York gold medalist winner and celebrity chef Vincent Tropepe is proud to announce that he will be returning this year as a demonstrating chef at the Hudson Valley Wine and Food Fest.
Chef Tropepe has distinguished himself as an expert both in the field of culinary arts as well as the restaurant business. With each passing year, Chef Tropepe has continued to grow in popularity, delighting food show goers with his ingenious ideas for delectable dishes.
During the 2009 Hudson Valley Wine & Food Fest, Chef Tropepe unveiled his exclusive new line of gourmet food products, aptly named Forgetaboutit! Foods, LLC.
Now, at the 2010 show, Chef Tropepe will not only be unveiling a slew of new Forgetaboutit! products, including some recently USDA Certified organic dressings, but will also be promoting his latest culinary venture as executive chef of EPOCA restaurant in New York City.
Located at 136 W 31 Street, EPOCA will be having its grand opening twelve days after the Hudson Valley Wine and Food Fest. Foodies and long time patrons will surely be licking their lips over his new and exciting menu, which will include such delectable dishes as tomato fettuccini, lemon linguine, grilled prime rib eye with red Zinfandel sauce, sausage stuffed mushroom caps and Parmesan encrusted swordfish steaks.
Chef Tropepe will be showing off the skills that made him such a success as part of the Hudson Valley Wine and Food Fest’s cooking demonstration stage.
