Pandemic Restrictions and Guidelines
We are receiving lots of questions with regards to what protocols will be in place for the 2021 Hudson Valley Wine & Food Festival. At this time we are optimistic that we will be able to hold a relatively “normal” event come September 11. We are in close touch with state and local authorities who feel that we will be able to successfully hold an in-person event and so we have decided to move forward. If we had any doubts, we would have already postponed the Fest. We will provide specific limitations and guidelines as we get closer to the event, but as of today, we cannot provide you with solid answers.
What we can say:
- If the event were held today, our normal event attendance numbers would fall within the current (April 1) guidelines for the Fairgrounds capacity limit
- We may be required to check for a negative COVID test or proof of vaccination upon gate entry
- Mask wearing may still be mandated when not eating/drinking
- We may have to spread vendors out into additional areas of the Fairgrounds to meet social distancing guidelines.
Just like you, we wish we had all the answers as to what to expect, but things are changing by the week. New York has made great progress in dealing with the virus and the last thing we want to do is jeopardize that progress. We will adhere to all protocols and expect our guests to respect them as well.
You are not required to purchase tickets in advance, so if you’d like to wait and see what the regulations will be, we always have tickets available at the gate.
We are eager to once again support the many fine wineries, specialty food and market producers in the Hudson Valley and beyond. In the meantime, we hope you and yours stay safe and well.
Thank you for your understanding.
