According to Steve Giannetti, Senior Vice President at Fine Cooking, The Hudson Valley area has a rich tradition of combining its agricultural bounty with culinary excellence. Having the wineries, farms, food artisans, great restaurants, and the influence of the Culinary Institute of America in its midst, the future for the area’s food culture is even brighter. The Hudson Valley Wine & Food Fest gathers all the great elements of this region into two wonderful days of fun and celebration. We’re very excited to be part of this truly exceptional culinary event.
Established in 1994, Fine Cooking is unique in its 100% focus on food and its mission to give today’s cooks “no matter what their level of cooking skill” the knowledge and confidence to become more talented cooks and enhance their pleasure in all things food. It’s the only major epicurean title completely dedicated to food and cooking.
For the past nine years, the Hudson Valley Wine & Food Fest has been a celebration of wine and food that takes place each September on the weekend after Labor Day. We’re looking forward to Fine Cooking joining in the celebration of our 10th anniversary.
As it has done so in the past, the Hudson Valley Wine and Food Fest will feature award winning New York wines as well as wines from around the world. In addition, there will be a spotlight on quality gourmet food, fine arts and crafts.
This year, the event will also include a series of wine dinners leading up to the actual festival and a wine competition in conjunction with the Hudson Valley Wine and Grape Association.
The tenth annual Hudson Valley Wine & Food Fest will take place Saturday, September 10th from 11am to 6pm and Sunday September 11th from 11am to 5pm at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck, NY.
