Celebrating Community with Hudson Valley Credit Union

‍ ‍At the Hudson Valley Wine & Food Festival, we're proud to partner with organizations that share our commitment to strengthening the communities we call home. That's why we're thrilled to spotlight one of our valued sponsors, Hudson Valley Credit Union (HVCU).

‍ ‍

For more than 60 years, HVCU has helped people navigate life’s financial milestones with confidence. By providing thoughtful guidance, modern banking convenience, and genuine care for every member it serves, HVCU combines financial expertise with a personal, people-first approach.

‍ ‍

Most people are familiar with traditional banks, but fewer understand what makes a credit union different. While banks are for-profit institutions owned by shareholders, credit unions are member-owned, not-for-profit cooperatives. This means that credit unions like HVCU can focus on providing value directly to their members through competitive products, personalized service, and trusted financial advice.

‍ ‍

It also means that HVCU’s impact extends far beyond banking.

‍ ‍

‍ ‍Investing in the Hudson Valley

‍ ‍One of the things we admire most about HVCU is its dedication to giving back. By continually investing in the communities it serves, the credit union helps create opportunities for individuals, families, and organizations to succeed. The credit union regularly contributes to the region through scholarships, sponsorships, financial literacy courses, volunteerism, and more.

‍ ‍

In 2024, HVCU expanded its community impact by establishing the HVCU Charitable Foundation, which has strengthened its ability to support meaningful causes throughout the region and address the challenges it faces.

‍ ‍

Today, the HVCU Charitable Foundation proudly supports nonprofit organizations across 13 New York counties, helping improve access to education, food, healthcare, and housing. Collectively, HVCU and its Charitable Foundation contributed nearly $1 million to Hudson Valley and Capital Region communities last year alone.

Supporting Local Businesses

‍ ‍

The Hudson Valley is home to an incredible network of entrepreneurs, makers, farmers, wineries, breweries, distilleries, and small business owners — many of whom participate in our festival each year. HVCU understands the important role these businesses play in our local economy.

‍ ‍

Whether someone is launching a new venture, expanding operations, or seeking a financial partner who understands the local market, HVCU offers tailored business banking solutions with the personalized support and community-focused approach credit unions are known for.

‍ ‍

Through business development sponsorships, networking events, business expos, and economic growth initiatives, HVCU helps foster connections that strengthen both businesses and communities. Learn more about HVCU’s small business initiatives.

‍ ‍

A Partner in Community Events

‍ ‍

Community activation is at the heart of what HVCU does. By sponsoring local events and partnering with organizations focused on arts, culture, education, health, and wellness, the credit union helps bring people together while supporting causes that make the Hudson Valley a better place to live and work.

‍ ‍

Its support of the Hudson Valley Wine & Food Festival is just one example of a wider commitment to celebrating and strengthening our region.

‍ ‍
